it was a pretty early morning 50* at 6am...been in the backwaters fishin' since 7am before low tide for specks.... neap tide.. so not good..didn't go out all the way... oh well. on to doing more of nuttin'... not enuff hours in the day :cool:

booked on another 10 day 'one' for end of March.. on waitlist for two more 10 day ones--- next week(1/22) and end of Feb (2/23)... we're flexible.. heheheee.. I need real HEAT

We have heat here, Ray! At 0700, I was launching my kayak while wearing shorts and a tee shirt and sandles. Waded into the water about a foot deep. No problem...water temperature is 61 degrees! I caught 5 Specks on artificials.

that's pretty decent water temp ....around here water temp in the backwaters... 53*... took the temp myself as I always do with my trusty $1.49 thermometer...

got up to 73* here again this afternoon...tomorrow the same...but wait until Wed.. friggin' brrrrrrrr.. highs here forecast at 48*

zippo again this morning with a bunch of us regulars( yop all retired) plugging for them ...looks like specks went into hiding since I came back from the cruises...while I was gone from mid Nov thru just before Christmas they said they nailed them in the backwaters.. I usually do pretty good with them every winter around here using mirrolures..
