Greg, NMFS confirmed my meeting, so I will be leaving at 3PM to head that way on the 10th after the meeting. Google shows about a 3 hour run. If there is some place close to you to stay, that would be great. Preferably with wifi.
Some of you GG's that haven't gotten together lately should play hooky for the day and come join us.

Mont: You & I are in the boat's book for the morning of the 11th. I have not yet discussed with the captain the possibility of a trolling trip for sails. If all of us on board are wanting to that..for at least part of the trip, it should not be a problem. I usually throw him a tad extra for either added hours or trolling, as it burns extra fuel.

Now...Jack,Joe, Howard, Jesse? Anybody? Can you jump in? We officially have room for 4.

As I was reading Monty's post, I was thinking that I wished I could get down there. Anyway, this won't be a good month for me to do much of anything. I'm doing my job and my boss's job and there's no way to leave. In fact, I can't even get sick! :eek: Sorry guys. I need to get retarted like PK, Batbreath and others! :D

Greg, can we buy the whole boat for that morning, including trolling all we want? I haven't jumped a sailfish in over 20 years. If we can, let me know what we need to do to lock it up. If they are able to do a morning trip that gets over about a few hours late, that would be greatness. I want to drive down to Miami that Saturday and see Aunt Joyce and will hop a plane for home Sunday morning out of PBI. If you want to ride down, maybe we can go to the IFGA museum again and have some lunch. That sure was fun last time. Let me know.

Ken Roy might come over for this one. I just e-mailed Jason about the boat for the morning, & trolling. As soon as I hear back, Ill let you know. If I don't get a response via e-mail by morning, I'll call him tomorrow. If we don't get six of us from the board, I can in all likelihood fill it out with some of the regulars, or we can just go light. A normal half day charter is $360 plus tip. I don't know about trolling, but it shouldn't add a whole lot. Figure $90 an hour for overtime.

Wow, it would be good to see Captain Ken again. He's the first person I ever knew that had an anchor ball setup and to this day, I still have the one he tied for me. I will contact Sarge and see if he can get out of jail long enough to come down too. It's been too long ;)

What it looks like we'll wind up doing is getting a dozen live goggle-eyes, set one or two at a time out on flat line & kite while we bottom fish the reef. Monty should get his sail. If none of the guys from the board can make it, I have some regulars that ought to be able to join us.

I wrote you an email yesterday asking what tackle I should bring. Will be planning on 2 Rods. One with a Penn 340GTI and another with a lighter Shakespeare TL20. Will also bring a gimbal belt, knives and sharpeners. I also have a big tin of heavy weights for you. I recall how many of your heavier weights we lost in the inlet a few years ago. I owe you. Let me know what I need to bring.

Howard: Never got the e-mail. Both those outfits will work just fine. The boat also has very good tackle available for anyone who does not bring their own.

Greg, no way can I make it from Tampa to WPB before 5:30 Thursday unless you want to do it in Texas time. My meeting gets done at 3 or so and it's 3 hours there according to google. My cell is the same as always, 281-808-1949 and it works over there just fine. The Friday pickup time is fine. I will just roll into town and head for some sleep on Th. Let's try and do something Friday evening for sure. I can sleep in late Saturday and still make it to Ft. Lauderdale for my 3PM flight home.
