Like Pote, it's been a few years since I've been here.

Now that I live on the Chesapeake and am retired, I barely fish. Haven't even used a tank of gas this season. Still have about 30 gallons of last years gas I should run out before I fill it up and have it hauled for winter.

I don't get it, Charlie. You have the time, the location, the boat & the fuel. Why not fish?

Today my excuse if it's too cold. 25 degrees this morning.

Maybe on Sat when it warms a bit. Our striped bass season end on Dec 15.

But fishing's been good. One of the charter boats had 29 knockdowns and 23 fish landed in the first 3 hours on Tuesday.

Charlie: That, sir, is a perfectly acceptable excuse. My daughter & her husband, (due to be parents in four weeks or so), moved up to Tennessee a year or so ago. My wife would kinda like to retire up there, but I keep telling her they'll have to change two things before I can join her: It's too cold & too far from saltwater. Move it east & warm it up, & we'll talk.

I hope it warms up enough for you to fish in the next nine days so you can get one more striper this season.
