arrived yesterday at 11 AM. Met Santa at Bass Pro on the other side of the lake to pick up this young (4.5 weeks) feller (all the gals of the litter were sold). He was born in Palestine, Texas; a true native son:

He's not quite ready to retrieve yet but almost ;)

Yup!!! One of the best Christmas presents a person can have. Guess you will have to get a new bed for the wife, now that the little guy will be moving in!!!! :D

Beautiful JD. Me and the wife just adopted a 6 year old, all white, blue eye,
syberian huskey named Dakoda. He is a great dog, the neighbors and their kids love him. We had too put our last one one down due to cancer and it got lonely around here without him.
I wish good health too your new best friend and merry Christmass to you and yours.

Mont,

Our last one was adopted at about a year old. Found him in the pound in Manteo NC just one day away from his date of permanent departure. Took him home.

Shortly he got into BJ's closet. I believe he holds the world's shoe record for one sitting: 30 pair of BJ's shoes. Nothing left but heels and buckles. And I have a witness to the shoe count ;) He also chewed through the water feed line to a toilet while we were away. Flooded the house by the time we got back. He died at 14 a couple of years ago (elderly for a yellow lab).

This is our first non-adopted critter but the price was very low. Trust your new family member is doing well after the trip to Texas. I know he has a good home.

And glad to see you left the deer alone :) I'm forbidden to have a loaded shotgun whle the geese and ducks are here. Just costs me a small fortune in feed corn to make sure they feel at home and welcome.

Give your family our best,

Dan
