Monty & Howard: I just made a batch of fish dip, using some fairly recently frozen king mackerel which I smoked yesterday. I ate a bit of it during that awesome Giants game, & it made the top of my bald head sweat. Just right, gentlemen, just right.

I'm having a kite rod put together by a friend. It will be ready before Friday.

We should have a great trip.

Congrats to Marcus, Monty on his team's upset in Tampa, & to you, Howard on your Jags win yesterday.

I forgot about you, Zane. Congrats on your team's win. I was kinda pullin' for the 'skins because they're my cousin's team, but I could see from the start that your team was a lot better.

Thanks Snake, If the Hawks can win in Greenbay and if the NYG win in Dallas we would get the league championship game in Seattle. That does sound like a lot of "ifs" :D :D

Truth be told, I don't have a dog in any of the remaining fights, but I sho' would enjoy seein' the Pats lose one.

My bag is just about packed, and I finalized the car reservations this afternoon. I will be in Tampa at 5:30 tomorrow. Wed morning, I am driving to Sarasota to check out the pangamarine.com factory and then it's back to Tampa for the RSAP meeting. I leave there on Thursday at 3:00 PM to head to West Palm Beach to meet up with Howard and Greg. Bring on the sailfish this Friday!

Friday
Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 feet or less near shore and up to 2 to 4 feet well offshore. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Chance of showers.

Looks like you will have a good weather day. Catch-em up

Jack, you really should go fishin' with us. Playing hooky from work is allowed for you retired guys.

I am on the ground in one piece in Tampa. My two hour flight was delayed 2 hours, but I made it here. I am off to Sarasota for a tour of the pangamarine.com plant and then back up here by 1 to make the meeting. The forecast for Friday is looking good from what I can tell.

I spoke to Captain Jason yesterday. He said the south current has finally changed back to north, which is good. He also said there are some sailfish out there, but not the numbers there will be later in the winter. He's working on someone else's boat today & tomorrow in a 2 day sailfish tournament. That should give him a good idea where the sails are. We'll be in touch about how that tournament goes.

My thoughts exactly.

Nice fish, Jack. That looks like a lot of good eating.

guys, due to the huge wreck today in Palm County, I am going to take 275 South to pick up 70 east and then head south on 710 into West Palm. I haven't ever been across state on 70 so it may be closer to 8 or so before I get down tomorrow. Someone call me after 4 on my cell if you know something I don't about how to get down there. I was in Sarasota this morning via 275 and it was 80+ all the way.

Mont: Your best bet is 60 across to the turnpike. La Quinta is on the east side of the WPB exit of the turnpike. I'll be in touch via phone.
