I don't miss many Fridays, Dan, but it's the Mad Son. Owner/Captain's last name is Madson. I came real close to getting skunked yesterday. If Capt. Mike hadn't hooked a nice yellowtail & passed the rod to me, I would've been.

The current & wind were both heading north, making for a good drift, but a bit fast to feel what was going on. I was bitten off once by a king & lost a balao on a troll. Two people got lucky & caught a couple of lone bull dolphins, one bringing his bait up to check, the other letting her bait out. My buddy caught a 3 pound mutton & a yellowtail. We ate the yellowtail on board, ceviche style. Yours truly brought the makings & a clean knife & cutting board. It was a hit.
