Looks a little familiar. But then it's all pretty. Are you inbound or outbound?

inbound, steamer point in far distance. Are you coming up there this year??
What about JOE?

AS you may (or may not) know, Joe bought a home in Parksville. He just recently sold his home in Calgary (2-3 days ago) and has to be out of in by the end of the month so he'll be in Parksville on June 1.

My wife and I had an Alaskan Cruise/Tour scheduled for May 18 and we had planned on visiting Joe and his wife in Parksville, starting on May 28, but he won't be there at that time.

Good thing because out plans changed too!

Last week, my wife went to visit her Dad on the other side of the State. While there, she got a very severe stomach ache and started throwing up. A trip to the ER and a Cat Scan showed she had a hiatal hernia. Off she went to the "OR" and when they opened her up, they found that it had ruptured and was leaking into her abdomen. They did not expect the rupture and ran out of time on the anesthesia, so only did a temp repair of the hernia and she will have to come back here for another operation in about a year. She got out of the hospital yesterday and is remaining with her father for another 10 -14 days until she sees the Doctor again before returning home.

In the meantime, I have rescheduled the Alaska trip and visit with Joe. It's set for early August. Joe is going to be in Tahsis again this summer and probably renting the same condo. Pam and I plan on visiting and I'm going to be in Tahsis with Joe for8-9 days starting on 8/14. My wife may come up or she may stay in Parksville with Joe's wife. Hopefully we won't be so busy and can visit you this year.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Jack. Hope she has a speedy recovery.
I did know about Joe's house although I didn't know he wasn't out of the old one yet. My two weeks are both in July this year but I can probably sneak up in August on Tom's week. Hope to see you up there. Enjoy that Alaskan trip.

She is back in the hospital with pneumonia. :( She still has a drainage tube in her abdomen from the original surgery and every time she coughs, fluid drains from the tube. I'm going to Vero tomorrow to relieve her 87 year old Dad so I'll be off the net for a couple days, unless I can crank up his old puter.
