looks like Clive is building a new tiki hut bar where the old Tides building used to be right next to the flame retardant conference center a/k/a Duff's fired up hot wings room

Hmmmm. I wonder what Duff's wings would do to that? I would probably be able to see the flames from Loxahatchee if it was a clear night.

I had to paint the ceiling twice after Duff winged the wings in. I was five ft. from the flame and said, "This is not a good thing". The wings turned out great. I Had a great time and a good story to tell when every I pass the Dockside. Boy, do I miss those days.

fishing was at a standstill .. nobody catchin' nuttin'.. no bait around at all..

it was so slow even these guys were sleepin' it off on Capt Joe's baitshack dock.. which I might add..where they are ... is the same dock that Florida Bob took a dunking on when it sank... it has since been replaced a couple of times since then

there's an old Boston Whaler.. looks like a 16'.. been sitting near the A Dock in front of the Harborlite since we were here in early November.. obviously hasn't been moved or used... here's a few pics of it... maybe it's 'for sale' if you want another project boat

we leave here early tomorrow(Friday) morning for Ft Laud and the ship

I see my regular old suite in the last picture. It is just too bad that they raised the prices the way they did. I really loved the place and the good times we had there. Last I saw prices, they had almost doubled. The dock fee went from $10 a day to $25.

My boat is still a project but a whole lot better than that one. The motor is running good now but it needs some trailer work and a new control box. I looked through my backup disks for an old picture of it at the Dockside but couldn't find it. Let me know next time your in town we would love to have you and Pat over.

$155.00 a night? Wow! What a difference a few years makes! Don't suppose they would give GG's a 50% discount? :D
The place is looking good, though.

But it's a shame it sits in my driveway, I got to get off my dead ass and put a little more work in it. God, I loved pushing that boat to the max and holding on to the wheel. I'll never forget the first time I was in that boat. Hurricane Wayne owned it at the time and I we were fishing the Indain River. He had it at full throttle while standing on one leg and holding down his beer can with the other. I said to myself this is pretty cool I got to have one of these, I bought it from him a couple of years later, that was 13 years ago. I have never considered selling it. Jesse and I used to go once a month when he lived in Palm Beach. One time with Jesse the motor died and I had to fix it with my Swiss Army knife. We made back to the dock as I had a dozen time before and after when something went wrong. I could tell you a bunch of stories of bad luck with that boat but it always got me home. She has never let me down so I owe it to her to get her going again. You guys need to come back to Fort Pierce to give me a good excuse to fix her up.

You guys need to come back to Fort Pierce to give me a good excuse to fix her up.It would be great if we could plan another gathering in FP this year. If we double up in the rooms, it's cheap enough. I might even be able to get Sarge out from behind his desk to come down for it.

I have a spare bedroom and a place for few RV's and a RV drain hole. Plenty of room in the back of the watergarden for some tents. Got a big, fish + rib, smoker and a hot tub to relax. I still have the Green Grouper Banner from the last fishing trip with Snakeman, Bryan, Joe and Monty. We can hang it from flag pole. I'm about 25 mins. from the Dockside Inn but I don't have any docks or the wild Snook fishing in my backyard. The price is right, just take me fishing. If you guys want to hook up at the dockside again I'm ready to help any way I can.

Looking out from my back porch, past my watergarden I have lots of room behind the fence.

How could I miss a get-together like that? Like Johnny, I'll help as much as I can. Count on fish dip.

Well this is one time I will pass without regret!! :p

As much as I love yous guys (not in the BrokeBack sense) I will be heading south of the equator for our next trip. In about three weeks I will chasing massive brown trout, kingfish, snappa, and a whole bunch more of fish that I have never seen before!!!

Yep-- gonna visit Captain Asparagus in New Zealand . Its the trip of a lifetime for the Warden and I. Been corresponding with Stu , so I have a leg up on speaking Kiwi! ( Brown trout are "brownies", Kingfish are "kingies", snappers are "snappas" and fishermen are "fishos"! Perfectly simple!!!!

We have two weeks on the North island and one week on the South Island. We are partially using RCI points ( timeshare) for accomodations but plan on mooching a couple of nights off Stu. (Us x-colonials gotta stick together!!)

So my friends--- I aint gonna be heading down your way for a bit ( and it will take a while to refit the bank account when we get back!!

That makes a few of y'all who have had the pleasure of getting to visit our superhero friend over there. I believe Eddie made the trip as well as our late friend JAW (Jarry). Hopefully I'll get to join that list some day and visit Stu as well as Capt Jeff in Kona - he was one of the originals - y'all remember him right? http://fishinkona.com/

As for a get together - I'll be sure to have those hats ready before then. I know y'all have patiently awaited those and I haven't forgot.

Your place is looking great Johnny. I can attest to your hospitality from the time we came down there to tape a fishin show. That was great fun even if the fishing wasn't so great that weekend.

What would y'all think of the week of June 17th or that following weekend?

I'm jealous, Bryan! I'd like to do the Kiwi vacation sometime. I landed at Aukland a million years ago because the airplane that I was leaving Sydney on, had a problem with the rudder. I've never seen a greener, prettier country from the air as NZ.
A reunion sounds great, but I'm not so sure that I can get away from w%#k.
We'll see.
