$13,500 bux later and the starboard engine computer shut it down about 15 minutes after I left the yard this morning. My mechanic is booked up this week, so it's gonna be next week before I even know what or when. Something mechanical broke in the engine is my bet. The sea water cooling pump is gear drive and I shut that engine down when it got 10 degrees too warm. At least it's back in the water and I can work on a few projects still not done from the last time, like trim and such. Not to mention, it's going to take at least a week to get all the dust, dirt and junk off of it. My big grey Dodge decided it was transmission time today as well at 55,000 miles. I need some good lotto numbers. ;)

Dang! If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all, Mont. Hit those numbers, man!

no worries my friends, it's all for a reason. Actually, I am completely hyped over the first rally of the year (http://www.hawgsoftexas.com), on Lake Somerville that starts in 2 weeks. My plywood skiff runs just fine, in fact, I ran it last Sunday. The wind is howling anyways, and riding a Goldwing to the first spring rally is going to be a blast. If you live your whole life without going to a good bike rally, I feel sorry for you. The boat gets done, when it gets done. Shoot, Southwest still flies to Florida last time I checked. Happy Easter, gents.

Great that you have several hobbies that are dear to you. I am sure they will get the boat squared away and you and the family and friends will enjoy it.

Happy Holiday to all the Groupers.

The scenery is pretty good at this rally, Howard. Stacy won't be there for the first couple of days, so I should have some good rally pics. The bad part is I need that big Dodge to pull my RV up there. Worst case, I will put it behind my work truck and use it instead. I should know more once the transmission guy gets a look at things. Dodge transmissions leave a bit to be desired. Owning 56 of them at the moment makes me glad when the all start in the mornings.
Happy Holidays to everyone. We have rain coming for Easter Sunday so our egg hunt might be inside this year.

I will put something together for you guys after the rally. The progressive insurance adjuster lady sounded kinda put out today when I told her if they didn't want to pay to fix it, I would settle for the agreed cash value. I know where there's a nice Albermarle just down the coast that's for sale. She wasn't amused. Funny, they never complain about sending you the bill, but put it back on them and they get testy. She's so dumb she marked the port and starboard props so they didn't get mixed up. Yikes.
