Well at least amoung the Florida fisherman. For you people that live away from FL we have a fishing newspaper here called " Florida Fishing Weekly ". It tells where the fish are biting, who caught what and with what tackle they were using. A week or so back there was a thread here on Greg, THE snakeman. He caught a #26 king fish. Well in the paper this week there was Greg, on page 30, A half a page of Greg with pictures and all. With those dark shades, , I would have thought he was a retired cop from NY state.
Good going Greg. That was a nice catch. And you did it on 2# test line and a 3ft pink rod from Disneyland. :D ----- ;) -----

Mont,,, I don't have a scanner, if I did I wouldn't know how to use it. Heck, it's all I can do to turn this thing on. I do have the paper. Maybe Greg has a scanner. I know he'll get a paper now that I have brought it to his attention. Johnny B might have one. Other then that I don't know any other board members from FL. OH< sorry Howard...

I haven't seen the article yet! I have seen the pic..it's posted on this board, but I did not fish last week, & did not visit any shops where the paper is sold. Today, the new issue is out. I am sure the guys at the boat have a copy or two.

It's the issue of April 3, 2009. They gave the Mad Son a real plug. Now the young lady that was on the same boat with you, named Erica Luce, she is holding a mutton and yellowtail snapper. Her fish weren't near as big as yours, but she is a lot pretty'er then you. No wonder you go every week.... ;)

Your right, no mention of Greg in that issue. That was from Feb, 2.

We get the mullet wrapper at the shop. I'll look for the correct issue tomorrow and if it's there, I'll scan it.

It's the April 3rd issue. I will be picking up ten copies from the publisher in Jupiter on Monday. They closed at noon today. If anyone wants a copy, send me a mailing address.
BTW, the pic on this board is better..it's in color, the one in the mag is b&w.

Thanks for calling a little while ago. It warms the cockkles of my heart that you " young " fellers check in on us older members of the board. If you pick up 10 copies of the paper, I hope they aren't going to charge you the full $2 per copy price. I didn't fish last Fri, it was straight to the hospital. Today I was feeling a little poorly. My fishing partner stopped by this afternoon. We will go next Fri for sure. He's a retired Navy Corpman and Seal. I have always said, " Fishing is just an excuse to be on the water ".
This is the first nice day in 2 weeks. No wind, good tide, the snook are on the prowel. Here I set on my ass at home.~~~~~~~ Dan -

Here's the story and another pix that goes with it. Greg is correct, the photo he posted is better because it's in color, same photo. It sits on the top of the page above the article
