I called Captain Dan this morning after fishing to do a little braggin' & maybe make him feel a little better, thinking he was home on the mend. Turns out he's back in the hospital with a hematoma in the leg they operated on. Not sure where this one leads, guys, but it doesn't sound all that friendly. Keep the good captain in your thoughts & prayers, please.

Gee, how two days change things. He certainly has had his shares of the miseries these last couple of years. Hope he has more fight in him.

Will try and get an update from Christine some time today and pass the word on.

Damn-- thats tough. And while I have never met Capt Dan in person, everything I have read tells me that he is one tough cookie and will ride through this one too...

He sure has been tough through these last couple of years.

Prayers and hopes that this one gets better too - & soon.

I took a chance and called the home phone, expecting Christine to answer. Dan himself picked up. He had just gotten home from the Hospital 10 minutes before my call.

He has to be one incredible scrapper. He has now had a hematoma drained twice since he got home from the artery surgery. Dan told me that with the last hematoma, he also has some renal failure and his Doctor who is an old friend, thought it would be the end. But, again that toughness was there.

We can just keep sending good thoughts and prayers his way.

Just spoke to Dan at home. He said that it is coming together slowly, but it is getting better every day. I called Mt Gay Rum and told them to start to increase the production.

Like Batbreath always says "Dan has one more rum to drink and one more fish to catch." I am counting on that being multiples for the good Captain.
