We northeners celebrate much the same as you guys south of the 49th parallel on the Forth.. Freedom !! Its Canada's day to celebrate the fact that we live in a free country where its permissible so speak our minds, even though we may differ, to practice our religions uninhibited, and to openly kick ass on the politicians that dont listen to thier consituents...

Being a little less demonstative than our southern neighbours, we are sometime taken as being more complacent... but we share the same values.

I am remined of this by Don C who is no longer with us. He never forgot to email me a message about Canada Day, even though he had long before become a American citizen. He never for got his Canadian roots.

I will miss him...............................

Happy Canada day Bryan. Because July 4th comes on Saturday, I am closing Friday the 3rd and give everybody on staff a 3 day weekend. I will spend my weekend by the pool at

Happy Canada Day, oh Breath of the Bat. Hope you enjoyed it.

On a more serious note, the vision of Howard in swim trunks just frightens me.

Greg, how mean spirited. I have the body of Atlas, well maybe a body like an Atlas, round. I guess in talking about a pool, I failed to mention that 4' from the shallow end and Spa, is the double Bar that seats 9. I love the pool, but I admit that a tall Cuba Libre with fresh grown and squeezed Calamansi, will almost always beat a dip in the pool. It is there, at the Bar that you will find Dan G.(the Red Killer) and I every Sunday.

I hope all the Canajuns had a great day today, eh! and that all we Mericuns have a safe and sane weekend.

You are all the best.

Agreed, when we are exchanging fun stories and things, is when I miss the Don C's and Patrick the most.
God Bless them both.

It was a great day folks... No pool time Howard, but I did manage to find a couple of Cuba Libres looking for a friend however.

Hope you wont get offended Mont-- but we have enough weasel-butt politicos of our own, so I will pass on your generous offer.

Rusty-- just tell me its WILD salmon you are smoking an not that crap the fish farmers are pedaling!!!

and Greg-- The sight of Howard in the pool isnt THAT bad ( as long as you shield the eyes of the kiddies) but just imaging BOTH of us in the same pool!!!

Bryan,No frozen farm raised salmon here my friend .My cuz gave me a sockeye that he caught in Alaska.I watched a program awhile back that was filmed in your neck of the woods about the farm raised salmon. What a mess those guys are doing to the wild fish, and the amount of fish they produced was insignificant.Rusty
