View Full Version : Family week
This was the fifth year in a row that my 11 yo granddaughter fished Tahsis with me. (she turns 12 next month) We had a wonderful six days and we fished 4 of them. Jack and Bryan will appreciate this, it was flat calm out 9 miles with the biggest ripple on the water coming off our bow wave as we trolled for springs:cool:  Bella is a real fisherperson the pictures show her one day catch, 20+ pound salman and 41 # halibut. The quote of the day as she was fighting her salmon with a fair amount of unneeded advice from her gramps and dad was "I'm not going to horse this fish, and I'm not going to lose it" :D :D Words of wisdom for all of us:D
Biggest of week was my 28.5 king, Zane jr's 26 king

Nice fish!!! Great getting the family involved.... but I have to ask... did you leave any coho for me later this month??? :(
Dan, she already out fishes us. Up at 5am, fish all day, never a compaint she is perfect.:D
Bryan, the bloom was starting in the inlet and the coho were moving out when we left. I would hope the bloom is over as those fin clipped ones outside are hard to find. We can keep fin clipped and wild inside. Looking foreward to seeing you next week.

Nice Fish. Just keep the rod tip up and you won't lose them.:D
I don't know when Joe will hit Tahsis this year as he went further north with a couple friends for a week or so before heading to Tahsis.
Saw Joe my last day there. He was just tying up the boat. I'm on my way back on saturday. Yesterday my partners got a 23, 25, 29, and 39 # salmon.
:D :D I'm on my way back:D :D

Nothing better than a good family fishing trip. Sounds like the family talent is growing with each generation. Life is good, Rusty
