If anyone here isn't registered on 2cool, and wants to see the pics, let me know and I will copy them over here. I waited nearly 10 years for this day. It was sweet.

I saw that one too, Ray. Kudos to those guys. It's kinda funny, but I was mostly watching and observing yesterday. We got back to the dock and Dan (the guy with the $$$ behind this) said he was going to throw down for a bigger winch because the one they had was too small. I showed them how to move a pulley to a different spot on the boat and double the power of the winch he already had. You would have thought I could walk on water. They are going back again this morning to put 2 more out and take the local media out with them. This has been a long time coming and now that it is here, I can't wait to see it spread like wildfire up and down the coast. All of these reefs are going inside 9 miles, which is State of Texas waters. Screw Crabtree.
Good show Mont. Great effort and I note no tires going down (I hear Florida will give you all the retrieved reef tires you'll take).
I was looking at the charts yesterday for near shore reefs and wrecks in the event we don't find anything else further out that we can put on ice. Seem to be a number of possibilities. Our last trip down before Ike we chartered and he took us to several wrecks. We hooked just about everything that is available. Lots of Ling. But those sites were in federal waters.
We'll be down 9/19 and fish 9/20 thru 9/24. Hope for at least 1 blue water day.
Congrats Monty, a job well done.:D :D
