Caught this sow speckle trout about 7:15 am on Friday.She weighs eight pounds eight ounces.For now she will be in fourth place in the CCA Texas middle coast Trout Division.Life is Good!!!!

Nice fish, Rusty! My two legal trout Friday morning with Dan & Mike, plus about four of our biggest throw-backs might have reached that weight together.

That is a nice fish, but I have a feeling that those shorts attracted the fish to the line. Good going.

Howard, those are my lucky fishing trunks. Every big fish I ever caught I was wearing those trunks, but my wife hates them too. One day I changed on the beach and I lost my lucky fishing trunks, but a good friend noticed them lying in the middle of the beach and he said "There are Rusty's lucky fishing trunks", so he picked them up and they are back in their proper place catching proper fish.

Rusty's gonna have to mount those trunks and hang 'em over the fireplace :D Must have been a good friend that returned them - probably worth a fortune on eee-bay ;) Or rent them out by the hour.....

Rusty, I know just what you mean. I know for the last several years I have worn the same Blue Cargo shorts, when fishing In Puerto Vallarta, MX Seems to have always worked. Sails, Dorado and 2 years ago the 220-240 lb Marlin that almost had me buried in those shorts.

I don't have the legs for shorts. I do wear a bone carving thingie that Captain Asparagus sent to me a few years ago, as well as a megalodon tooth. The amulets seemed to have worked on my last trip. The only keepers came to the guy wearing the stuff. Right, Captain Dan?
