I had just read yesterday that they have downgraded the amount and severity of what is due the Atlantic Coast this year. Hope it is so.

Hope it is so.that whole "tropical" forecast is the biggest joke I have ever seen. They can't predict what the waves will be 24 hours out, let alone several months. Like you, Howard, I do hope the trend continues. Last year sucked.

Yup. Yup. Don't need none of that crapola! I think Obama should do away with hurricanes. :p

Yeah true. Rumor has it that if you bow, face Mecca and pray, you can stop it.:(

Our little Tropical Depression piled some hungry fish in the shallows here in the FL Panhandle. They bit in a frenzy until the sand/water started coming sideways and we had to leave.

Fishing is supposed to be good inside of a hurricane according to the old fish heads, but they won't let you stay on the beach to prove/disprove the theory. C2

Charlie: Ya can't blame 'em for not wantin' people on the beach during a storm. Processing the corpses is a real pain in the butt. I have fished here on the reefs (off Palm Beach County) a day or two after a hurricane, and there definitely seems to be a new supply of mutton snappers in & hungry. I'll be fishing tomorrow evening & I hope Bill scares some fish this way, although the snapper bite has been decent the last month or more.

Fair weather fishermen miss out on a lot of fish. ~~Greg~~
