I am in New Orleans saving the snapper once again. We had a mini hurricane pass through tonight with another one coming before morning. Friday's forecast at home is calling for a 40% chance of snow. As soon as the fishery meeting gets done tomorrow afternoon, I am heading west on I-10. I sure wish I was going the other way to get some sand in my toes.

Yes, winter has arrived in Texas. South Florida is sounding real good as a retirement consideration.

I'll be heading over to Capt. Dan's tomorrow afternoon. We'll be fishin' for reds Friday mornin' with Mike. Temps in the ayem will be low-mid 60's. I can deal with that in December. Dan..I expect I'll be able to make that lodge meeting with you. The trip is a little over 2 1/2 hours. I'll leave by 2. Do something about that 50 to 70% chance of rain before I get there, will ya?

I took care of that rain problem for you. I bought 2 ponchos. My concern is we had and will get again, 25mph winds. That will roil up the water bad. Mike said be brave and tough. He'll pick us up at 6am Fri. Last report, lots of white bait. All over the place. I'll see you about 4:30 Thur afternoon. Tomorrow that is.
Snook season closed Dec. 1st. Today lot's of them were caught. Before that you couldn't beg or steal one. SO BEE'S IT.,,

JD, use real Texans don't count you Yankee Texans as real residents. I mean honestly, how much of South Florida is above I-10? All I know, is I sell cold and hot air, and the tail end of this week looks like I might have to draft my 14 year old to answer the phones. Gotta luv it.

PS, the fish are safe.

YANKEE Texans! Why suh, I was born and raised south 'o the Mason Dixon line and I'm currently farther south than that - just not far enuff :D

We had 3" of rain yesterday followed by a coat of the white stuff. My boat's bottom, and mine and the dog's, are cold.

check out our forecast

Snow amounts will vary greatly
depending on when the rain changes over to snow. Preliminary
estimates show snow totals of 1 to 2 inches across the area with
some isolated snow totals approaching 5 inches.

There is absolutely nothing funnier than a Houstonian trying to drive in snow and ice. This outta be epic.

I enjoyed the visit. I had no idea you were so high up in the ranks of the Moose. Good on ya, my friend. Next time I come over, we will catch more than a gafftop cat & we won't get a wet butt. You & Mike need to come fish with me.
