View Full Version : Why is it that...
almost everytime a dog kills a person or another dog it involves a pitbull? Here is yet another story: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,595702,00.html?test=latestnews
A couple of pitbulls tried to kill my dog in my own yard a couple years ago and the neighbor was unable to get them to mind him. The only thing they listened to was my golf club, a #3 wood I think it was. Two weeks later they crawled under the fence and devoured my other neighbor's kid's dog who he had grown up with since birth. These were young pitbulls, 'family' dogs not trained to fight.
My gun is dangerous but it is not going to crawl under the fence and go kill someone when I'm not home.
Should these dogs be banned?

I know this will get contentious........ but I have NO use for those animals and feel they have no place in a civilized society. The ONLY reason I see that someone would want one is to guard his meth lab or grow op.
I am tired of listening to "ITS THE OWNER--- NOT THE BREED" That is IMHO total BS.
That breed was developed to kill. A lab, shepherd, or other dog does not clamp down on a person or other animal and refuse to let go until you damn near kill it.
They also have a propensity to go off like a road side bomb after years of minding thier manners. You just never know when or if its going to happen. So why own a dog that cant be trusted.
If I have offended any pitbull owners here-- too bad guys. I have no use for them and dont apologise for my opinion.
BTW-- Happy Canada Day neighbours!!! ;)
Here are some pictures that pretty much sum up the attitude of this animal...
Most dogs would take a quill or two and call it quits, right? I'm sure he eventually killed the porcupine...

sorry Bryan... but I believe it's not the dawg.. but the way people bring them up and train them--tying them up on short chains--making them agressive and to be the way they are... I have a friend who has one... the damn dawg will lick you to death... same for any larger dawg... I had a 100# German Shepard back on Long Island.. a pussycat... kids used to come knock on our door to see if Max could come out and play.. others have that same dawg and treat it like crap..and they become agressive..
it's not the dawg.. it's not the gun.. it's not the typewriter that makes mistakes ..it's the arseholes that are behind them
