Ray: I am slowing down so that you can pass me. Have a great day & have the real PK take you out to dinner tonight. Oh..Here's how I spent my morning..not that you asked. ~~Greg~~

There were three of us who fish together regularly joined by three other fishermen we had not met before. Bill & Jimmy Lee & I met Terry & his son Dan, & John.

The morning started out almost cool, with a breeze out of the wnw that was out of the north by late morning.
Everybody started with chicken rigs, & we picked away at a few fish, but no snappers on the first stop or two.
Eventually, we got a few yellowtails & some nice mangroves. I even lucked into a keeper mutton snapper.
There were a handful of legal sized triggers caught, as well as quite a few throwbacks. Bill had a rod-bending, fine eating seven pound class ocean tally come to the net for him.
At one point, there were a few rainbow runners swimming near the boat. I grabbed an 8 pound spinner & managed to catch one & keep them close enough to the boat for a couple of others to be caught as well.

Bill caught two or three release model red groupers & was a bit disheartened by that, but at the end of the trip made up for them with a flag yellowtail snapper.

Everybody caught at least a few fish, most did pretty well.

Next Friday's trip is a night trip.

And may you be blessed with many more.

BTY Ray, have you ever been called "pollywog" while on the blue?
Way back we used to call it "Crossing the Bar".

I have to say.. I have been called everything known to man under the moon and the sun and even beyond the beyond..but have ever been called a 'pollywog'...

http://www.desausa.org/pollywog_to_shellback.htm

however in my somewhat limited travels on a FREE gub'mint sponsored cruise in 1967 to SE Asia I did cross the Intl Date Line .. heheheee:rolleyes:

crossed on this ship.... and a bit of trivia...which coincidentally happens to be the same ship that an older friend I fish with daily on da' Pier was on heading to Korea in the 50's ... and also happens to be the same ship that a friend's who I w*rked with father crossed on in WWII

Ray, I have fished within a stone throw of the "POPE" in SF Bay for sturgeon
that hang out under the moth ball fleet.

Pollywoogs were green horns first trip across the Equator, old Neptune made
em sweat, he was one of the old timers on board.

now that's even more trivia about the 'Pope'.. now sitting in SF harbor.. that's where I embarked on her for my 'cruise' in '67.. well it was across the bay at Oakland Army terminal..

I saw that on that site about 'pollywogs'...
