I used to hang out here years ago with my sister in law and husband. Back then, Moody Gardens hadn't gone in yet, and there was a pretty good place for a burger right on the water. It was fun being back there, and good to be out on the water for the day. It paid to stay moving in this heat. A few pics...

It's too hot to fish anywhere south of the Arctic Circle (or Minot ND) at this time of the year. The Moody Gardens complex is impressive.

We stayed there for a convention BJ went to about 5 years ago. That was the year (in October) that I hit the bull Red Drum run in the middle of the week with only 2 other vehicles on the beach at San Luis Pass. Cured me of driving 1400 miles back to surf fish for Reds at Cape Hatteras ;)
