View Full Version : busy Monday in the Gulf
I really had the itch to make a run tomorrow into Wed. It's looking a little too sporty at this point, though.
Hey Monty, do them red areas show where the fishing is best,

I could be mistooken, but that big red area is pretty close to the old gushing pipe. Hope it's really capped. ~~Greg~~
We got a line of storms from that mess that came through here right at rush hour today. All the patio stuff wound up on its sides, and it really made a mess out of the patio in general. It was really moving too. Reminded me of something I saw off Ft. Pierce one time. I was glad I saw it from my house today. It did cool things off, though.

That was not the day on Jack's boat by chance, was it? If it was I seem to recall that a front passed you on both sides. The rest of us who were already safely back at Dockside/Harbor Lights were waiting anxiously to see you all get back in.

It sure was, and I still have an 8 by 10 over my desk in my office of that picture. We got lucky that day.

The lucky part that day was not getting hit by all the sparks in the sky, plus the heading back home was directly on the bow. We didn't take one drop of green water into the boat. I now know my boat will take a lot more than I ever want to. A scary trip, but just like flying, any landing you walk away from is a good one.

There were a bunch of us back at the dock that were seriously worried about youse guys. The relief when we saw you heading in (finally) was monumental.

I was glad to see them too. Sarge climbed off the boat, saw the drink in my hand and asked for a swig (did not care what it was, he knew it was spirits). A 16oz glass went in one gulp. I have to admit, I never saw a happier Man.
