However, are they going to auction off tickets for spots at the rigs and reefs if it's weekends only :D Kinda like the Texas vanity plate auction - "REDSNAP" :rolleyes:

p.s. A lot depends on the dock and boathouse contractor. I have to be here when he's working. Should know the first week in September what the schedule is.

Yeah, they gave us back some snapper, 27 whole days, at 2 fish a day if you fish every one of them.

But at the same meeting they took away gag grouper for 2011, but gave the commercial sector 100,000 lbs. :mad: :mad: :mad: Guess I can't go catch my own grouper sandwich and I'll have to buy it from the market, either that, or Crabtree just made me a criminal, if he can catch me

We the Rec fisherman can just be pushed so far. I'm glad I no longer go offshore to fish. Do what you think is best.And good luck.

as Dan knows... that like situation favoring the Commercials has been the standard for many many years here in NC where Recs are essentially second class fisherman and always get the short end of the stick

The guys who will be hurt the most are the boats for hire. They can't afford to put their licenses on the line to take the fish illegally. The whole thing really sux.
