Once again I am traveling up to Bat Breaths territory in the pursuit of the almighty salmon. This is the seven annual grandaughter trip (she just turned 13) I leave at o dark thirty on Sunday. Report to follow in a week :D :D

But only if my friend has told me!!! :( He is walking away from one of the largest sockeye salmon runs in the last century..... They are in my backyard, in the inside waters... 30,000,000 of them!!!!

Poor ol' Zany one is heading to the west side of Vancouver Island where all they have is chinooks, coho, halibut and lingcod. Poor boy!!!

The canner is cranking away as we speak . Fresh sockeye on the grill tonight!!! Bunch more in the freezer-- and the boat is ready to travel as soon as my bro gets here. Its quite a spectacle-- commercial seine boats, trollers , gillnetters and a whole fleet of sports boats fishing in the same waters.....

Sorry for the hijack Zane-- but you know me-- I just couldnt resist!!! :D

And Howard ol' bud , this albatross may be bad news for others (Zane should never have bought a Honda-- its his own fault!!!) but I am eating fresh caught salmon.... and after that I will have a nice big dump and pour a Cuba Libre!!!! Can life get any better???? :p

Man, that Frazier River Canyon sure is a beautiful area!

I never got to fish it - just visited it.

Didn't know salmon ran up in there either.
